High performance fibers are fibers with special physical and chemical structures,properties,applications or special functions.The basic classification of high performance fibers was briefly described,the properties and applications of four kinds of fibers including aramid fiber,PBO fiber,carbon fiber and glass fiber were introduced and the development trend of high performance fiber in the future was analyzed.
