American architect Henry Killam Murphy was committed to revival of Chinese classical architecture, leaving behind a valuable architecture culture of campus and rich architectural drawings. Through a comparative analysis of Chinese and western drawing and painting, we reveal the changes in rendering style of two campus planning accompanied with changes in understanding of Chinese built environment, which influences each other.
