China's Economy is Seeking New Directions on a New Platform

回顾20世纪80年代以来的中国经济,"以体量扩张为特征的经济发展青春期"为未来经济走向成熟发展奠定了坚实的基础。中国经济当下的困境是找方向时期的困境。观察中国经济的现状与前景,不要忽略经济大国的地位因素。目前的中国经济,已经不能简单地从增速这一单一维度去衡量了,传统的经验、规律和标准已经很难准确刻画中国经济现实。中国经济运行已经步入新通道,趋势正在确认;经济能否在新通道里运行更长时间,取决于中国经济升级的势头能否持续。全球经济"三驾马车"格局已经形成,处理好与美国和欧盟之间的经贸关系,对于中国经济升级至关重要。

Reviewing the Chinese economy since 1980s, we are convinced that the economic development adolescence characterized by volumn expansion has laid a solid foundation for the future economic development. China＇ s current economic predicament is in essence the predicament in the period of looking for its direction. We must not ignore the status of economic power factors when observing the status quo and prospects of China＇ s economy. At present, China＇s economy cannot simply be measured from a single dimension of growth rate, because it is difficult to accurately depict the reality of China＇ s economy by the traditional experiences, rules and standards. China＇ s economic operation has entered a new channel with the trend to be confirmed; whether the economy can run longer in the new channel depends on whether the momentum of China＇ s economic upgrading can continue. The ＂three carriages＂ pattern of the global economy has been formed; it＇ s of great importance for the upgrading of China＇ s economy to deal with the economic and trade relations with the United States and the European Union.
