An analysis is made on the essential characteristics, the operation principles, and the interrelations of both market credit mechanism and public credit mechanism, and an in-depth study is made on the current development, the main models and the problems of the market credit mechanism in China. It is believed that it＇s necessary to enhance guidance and standardization of the market credit system construction in China, and that the measures for strengthening the construction of market credit mechanism are as follows： to set up a sound credit evaluation mechanism, to strengthen the application of market credit information, and to create a good environment for market credit system.
