美国服务学习教育模式对我国青年公民教育的启示

The Enlightenment of American Service Learning Education Mode on Chinese Civic Education on the Youth

美国的服务学习兴起于20世纪80年代,这是一种将课堂学习和社区服务有效结合起来的教育模式,其目的具有明确性,方式具有多样性,过程具有反思性,对我国的青年公民教育具有较大的借鉴价值。服务学习有利于我国青年公民知识与能力的同步提高,有利于青年逐渐成为"向善的公民",有利于青年树立正确的职业观。在服务学习理念的影响下,我国青年公民教育应由学校、政府、青年自身以及互联网共同发力,探求青年公民教育的发展新思路,培育我国合格的新公民。

American service learning developed in the 1980 s, which is an education mode combining learning in class with community service, showing the features of clear aim, various approaches, and considerations in process, which can be of great reference to Chinese civic education on the youth. Service learning helps Chinese youth in the following three aspects, such as improving knowledge and competence, becoming ＂citizens working for goodness＂, and setting up correct value on career. Influenced by the idea of service learning,we should, depending on the combined effort of schools, government, the youth themselves, and the Internet, conduct civic education on the youth and explore new thoughts for the education, so as to cultivate qualified new citizens.
