Seeking Goodness:A Dimension of Moral Rationality and the Way for Its Realization

道德作为人们在现实生活中应该信奉的价值体系和行为规范,其功能的有效实现受制于道德本身的合理性。具体而言,这一合理性表现为与事理、情理和法理的契合。此三者,构成了道德合理性的具体向度。在事理上,要提升把握道德真理的认知能力,对道德建设进行自觉反思,努力探究并昭示道德的内在依据;在情理上,要从"源头"上确保道德与情理的契合,将人的快乐和幸福作为道德的最高价值追求而培养行为主体情感和能力;在法理上,要对法治建设进行道德上的合义性论证,进而确立法律信仰和法律权威,并运用法治思维进行道德建设和实践。

Morality is a value system and code of conduct that people should follow in their daily life and its effect is determined by whether it is justifiable or not. Whether a moral principle is acceptable or not is in turn determined by whether it is in agreement with the truth, based on good reasons and in line with the law. These constitute three concrete dimensions of good morality. Specifically, in terms of its agreement with the truth, we should enhance our ability to master the justifiable moral principles, reflect on our cultivation of morality and do our best to reveal the internal logic of morality. In terms of whether it is based on good reasons, we should make sure that our morality is at first in agreement with justifiable reasons, and our happiness and contentment is set as the ultimate value orientation of morality when cultivating our good emotional competence and moral ability. In terms of its agreement with the law, we should first make sure that the construction of the rule of law is morally justifiable and then establish our belief in the law and the authority of the law, making the construction of moral system and the practice of moral principles guided by a good sense of the rule of law.
