From Fragmentation to Holistic Management:Study on College English Reform in Crisis

伴随中国进入全球化时代,英语成为中国与全世界进行沟通的重要媒介,大学英语教学也面临新的危机和挑战。为应对危机,大学英语改革应该从整体出发,统筹考虑,有全局观念、历史眼光和国际视野;在具体的举措上,大学英语应该在课程理念、课程结构、管理模式等方面应形成可操作的、整体性的规划。

With China entering the era of globalization, English has become an important media of communication between Chi- na and the whole world. Therefore, college English education is facing new challenges as well as crisis. In response to the chal- lenges, college English reform should start in a holistic perspective, and be based on overall consideration as well as historical vision and international horizon. On specific measures, college English should make practical and thorough plans in module concept, module structure and management mode.
