Little is not unexpected from China's 2010 Population Census. The fertility continues to be far below the replace- ment even taken into account all the possible "statistical errors". Population aging has been accelerating in both numbers and rates. The proportion of urban population has been soaring to hit the line of 50 percent. The population movement has been rolling upward to turn the country from one with very little spatial mobility to one with extensive mobility, indeed one of the highest in the world. All these demographic trends have already been analyzed and dis- cussed in previous studies over years, which are only once again to get reconfirmed with the latest census.
