Special Engineering Properties of Carbonaceous Rocks

炭质岩是一类易风化、碎裂、崩解、软化,工程性质随环境变化较大的特殊性岩石,其具有较高的初始强度、较强烈的风化崩解性、较低的CBR值和呈酸性等固有的岩石特性,以及由此所导致的边坡稳定性差、路基开挖处治困难等工程特性,已成为公路工程界新的问题,因此文章将其视为一类新的特殊性岩土加以研究,对其特殊工程性质进行了分析。

Carbonaceous rocks are a kind of special rocks with easy weathering, fragmentation, disintegration,and softening, its engineering properties change greatly with the environmental, they have high initial strength, strong weathering and disintegration properties, lower CBR value, showing the acidity and other inherent rock characteristics,as well as the resulting poor slope stability, the difficult treatment at subgrade excavation and other engineering characteristics, which has become a new problem in highway engineering field,so this article studied it as a new category of special rocks,and analyzed its special engineering properties.
