Nostalgic Youth: A Genre Study of Contemporary Chinese Teen Film

作为类型的青春片在电影市场上占有重要地位。本文采用"类型词典"和"类型语法"的框架分析了中国式青春片中主要的类型要素,并探讨其与中国当代社会之间的符号和叙事关联。校园、爱情、怀旧在城市与乡村、青春与成年的"主控文化—青年亚文化"之间的紧张感投射到历时性时间轴线上,形成了中国式青春片的特点。建构具有活力的青春片表意系统和价值系统,是中国当前青春片创作和整个社会价值观建构所面对的共同挑战。

Teen film is now an important genre for Chinese film industry. Drawing on the semantic/syntactic approach, the main elements of Chinese teen film are identified and analyzed. With elements like campus, love affairs and nostalgia integrated in, diachronic structures such as urbanization vs. rural life and youth subculture vs. adult dominant culture are built upon the youth narrative. However, most genre elements are so self-referential that they could not fit into the syntactic structure and gain their meanings.
