Objective: To investigate the significance of surface electromyography in the evaluation of swallowing dysfunction in stroke patients. Methods: 32 stroke patients and 32 rehabilitation medicine and neurology clinic patients were taken as the subkects, who were with normal . the observation group received routine drug rehabilitation medicine and swallowing function training, and then evaluate swallowing function by surface electromyography. Results; The scores of swallowing function were significantly decreased in the observation group at 4 weeks and 8 weeks water swallow test, and there was significant difference between the control group and the reuslts before the test; 3 results of the examination of swallowing time in the observation group was significantly different from the control group. Conclusion: In the evaluation of rehabilitation of stroke dysphagia, sEMG is a noninvasive and simple method, which is worthy of popularization and application.
