摘要
习语来源于社会生活,反映了一个民族的历史文化。研究习语翻译显得非常重要。文章主要介绍了归化和异化两种翻译策略,探讨了归化和异化在习语翻译实践中的优势和劣势,指出将归化和异化结合起来交互使用,是解决习语翻译问题的有效方法。
Idioms originate from social life and reflect a nation＇s history and culture. It becomes extremely important to research the translation of idioms. This paper introduces domestication and foreignization and discusses their advantages and disadvantages in idioms＇ translation. It points out that the interactive use of these two strategies could be an effective way in dealing with the problem of translating idioms.
