Effect of Fe Content on the Properties of Surface Coatings in Ti-C-Fe System

摘要 以灰铸铁为基体、Ti-C-Fe粉末体系为表面预制涂层材料,采用真空消失模铸造与自蔓延相结合的方法制备TiCp表面复合材料,通过改变预制粉体中Fe含量研究表面涂层的组织和性能。结果表明,铁基表面涂层主要由TiC与Fe相组成,而且涂层表面自生的TiCp呈近球形,分布均匀,与基体结合良好。TiCp的尺寸随涂层中Fe含量的增加而减小,但涂层硬度与耐磨性却先降低后提高,其中涂层最高硬度(HRC)可达到59.8。 TiC particle reinforced surface coating composites were prepared with grey cast iron as matrix and Ti-C-Fe powder system as surface pre-formed coating by vacuum EPC combined with SHS method.Effects of Fe content in Ti-C-Fe system on microstructure and properties of surface coating were investigated.The results show that the surface of Fe based coating is mainly composed of TiC phase and Fe phase.The in-situ TiC coating on the surface of substrate with nearly spherical shape has an uniform distribution and a desirable combination with substrate.The size of TiC particles is decreased with the increase of Fe content in the coating,while the hardness and wear resistance of the coating is decreased firstly and then increased,where the highest hardness can reach 59.8HRC.
