Streaming media technology is a kind of transmission mode adopting streaming architecture, which generates media files with the features of discrete data in the time domain by the means of Internet. Due to advantages of streaming media technology, a new idea is proposed to solve the bottleneck of main service performance and the resource competition. The application system with streaming media technology makes it possible to assist in the teaching of higher mathematics. Therefore, the teaching plan of higher mathematics curriculum is extended to teaching research and the teaching mode is innovated with the application of streaming media. They are the innovation of traditional education mode and the extension of classroom teaching. It helps students to learn independently, helps to improve the quality of teaching, and it also contributes to the teachers actively responding to the change of educational thinking and teaching mode from their own.
