宏大理论回归与中国社会科学的双赢诉求

The Return of Grand Theory and the Win-win Appeal of Chinese Social Science

20世纪50年代,人文社会科学领域的宏大理论开始回归,到1970年代宏大理论再领风骚。改革开放后,中国全面引入现代社会科学。中国社会科学界受内外因素的塑造,逐渐形成了受自然科学方法支配的实证研究风气。这是一种进步。但中国社会急遽转型所需要的宏大理论言说,遗憾缺席。这一缺席造成中国社会科学实证研究搭挂于他者社会的尴尬状态。而且在宏大理论建构尝试与实证研究之间,陷入相互不屑的窘迫状态。中国社会科学既无成功的宏大理论创制,也无国际学术界公认的权威实证研究。人们试图推动中国社会科学健康发展,并且与中国社会形成良性互动,以期产出基于中国经验的宏大理论,就必须致力于建构宏大理论,与实证研究相互促进,变中国社会科学的双失局面为双赢结果。

In 1950s, the Grand Theory of Humanities and Social Sciences began to return. By 1970s, the Grand Theory took the lead again. After the Reform and Opening-up, China has comprehen- sively brought in modern social science. Shaped by internal and external factors, the atmosphere of empirical research with the domination of natural scientific methods has been gradually formed in Chinese Social Science community, which is a progress. However, as a necessity for Chinese society under rapid transformation, the grand theoretic narrative is regrettably absent. Such absence has caused an embarrassment that empirical researches of Chinese Social Science cling to the-other societies. Moreover, awkward mutual disdain exists between the construction attempts in Grand Theory and empirical researches. There＇s neither successful initiative of Grand Theory nor the authoritative empirical study recognized by the international academic circle in Chinese Social Science. If people try to promote the healthy development of Chinese Social Sciences, and create benign interactions with Chinese society so as to produce a Grand Theory based on Chinese experience, they must work hard to construct the Grand Theory, and to mutually promote with the empirical research, and hopefully change the dual-defects situation into a win-win result in Chinese Social Science.
