潜现实,或一种怎样的现实——四川美术学院第24届学生作品年展有感

Sub-Reality, or What Kind of Reality Is It——Comment on the 24th Exhibition by Students from Oil Painting Department

我们今天面对的现实有两个层面，一个就是艺术层面的现实，另一个是更宽泛的社会现实，即对社会现实做出回应的问题。现实是混沌的，也是碎片的，要通过艺术使他从混沌中分离出来，得以显形。因此我们既要去考虑如何面对艺术自身的现实，即艺术创作的传统，整个艺术语言和观念发展史，同时更要去面对我们自身生活其中的这个社会现实。要以问题引导语言，同时更要以感知寻求观念，同时保持对其他媒介的开放性，进一步去探寻与我们生存现实更深层次的关联。

Nowadays, the reality people currently confront includes two aspects. The first is the reality in art, and the second is social reality in a broader sense, which is the problem that reacts to social reality. Reality is chaotic and fragmentary, therefore art abstracts it from the chaos, demonstrating its shape. People not only need to consider how to face the reality of art itself the tradition of art creation, the whole artistic language and history of ideas evolution, but also confront the social reality which we live in. Language should be guided by problems, also, concept should be sought with perception, keeping the open-minded attitude towards other media, in order to explore the connection with people＇s survival reality.
