摘要
洪堡在其主持的柏林大学首创大学"科学研究"职能,其内涵有二:一是专注"纯科学"—哲学及基础科学研究,二是教学与科研相结合,由学术而达至修养。吉尔曼传承并创新洪堡理念,在其主持的约翰·霍普金斯大学拓展"科研"职能内涵,一是发展研究生教育,二是开展应用研究。高教普及化现时代,"科研"职能内涵愈加丰富,在机制、对象、理念、评价、结构、层次等方面表现出新特征。梳理大学"科研"职能内涵流变及预测其趋势,对正确认识科研发展规律,促进大学"科研"管理水平和实力提升具有重要意义。
The "scientific research" function has been brought up first by Humboldt in Berlin University, and it has two connotations: first, focusing on "pure science" - Philosophy and basic scientific research; second, the combination of teaching and scientific research, and from academic to self-cultivation. Gilman inherits and develops Humboldt's idea, and expands the connotation of "scientific research" function in John Hopkins University which he hosted, one of which is the development of graduate education, another is to carry out applied research. In modem times with higher education popularization, the connotation of "scientific research" functions has become rich increasingly, many new features appear in its mechanism, object, concept, evaluation, structure, and level. Researching on the change in connotation of university research functional and forecast its trend, has important significance on the correct understanding of research development law, and promoting level and strength of university "scientific research" management.
