The formation mechanism and causal mechanism of the engine misfire failure of a Wuling automobile assembled LJ465Q-1AE6 engine were described briefly. The causes of the misfire fault were analyzed from the structure, characteristics of the LJ465Q-1AE6 engine and its electronic fuel injection system conditions. Fault elimination was made aiming at the failure causes and corresponding improvement measures were put forward.
