A study of existing literature finds that it＇s valuable tO probe into the social influence of university libraries from the aspects of concept, function, effect and strategy or from a certain microcosmic view. However, there is plenty of room for further research from macroscopic perspective, with issues such as the establishment of evaluation system which is especially challenging.
