摘要
美国大学教师参与共同治理在当前陷入"合法性危机",社会对教师参与共同治理的能力、正当性、目的和效益等均提出质疑。这种情况的出现既与美国大学共治传统并不稳固以及大学教师与社会沟通渠道不畅有关,也与公众对高等教育的信任感下降密切相连。唯有正视大学教师共同治理面临"合法性危机"的现实,才能找出应对方法来实现大学共同治理的目标。
American universities' teacher participation in shared governance is facing the "Legitima- cy Crisis". From the perspectives of capacity, legitimacy, purpose and effectiveness, the public ques- tioned teacher participation in shared governance. The emergence of "legitimacy crisis" is not only re- lated to the unsolid university governance of America universities and blocked communications between university teachers and the society. It is more related to the society's mistrust to higher education. The crisis can be overcome and the goal of common governance can be achieved, when people recognized the significance of "Le~:itimacy Crisis" of teacher participation in shared governance.
