Objective: Through the comparative analysis on the therapeutic effect of early intervention with or without neurotrophic drugs in treat- ment of neonatal brain injury, to choose a more appropriate and effective therapy for neonatal brain injury. Methods: 232 cases of newborns with brain injury (including infants of low-birth weight, premature birth, HIE, different degrees of asphyxia, etc) were involved in experimental group, while control group was 116 cases of healthy newborns with completely normal detected indexes, and compared the efficacy of the two methods (ear- ly intervention and combination with medication) by evaluating DQ with Gesell after different treatments in the two experimental groups. Results: Af- ter treatment, the combination group had showed significant advantages, of whom the indexes were slightly lower than those of control group, but the differences had no statistical significance (P〉0.05); and compared with those of early intervention group, the indexes of combination group were significantly higher, the differences had statistical significance (P〈0.05); the two groups of infants had significantly turned better after treatment, the dif- ferences had statistical significance (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Aggressive treatment which can promote the improvement of developmental quotient (DQ) plays an important role when neonatal brain injury is diagnosed; and compare with early intervention, the combination with neurotrophic drugs can more effectively relieve neonatal brain injury.
