南方稻区“籼改粳”研究进展

Progress of “indicarice to japonicarice” in southern China

发展粳稻生产是保障国家粮食安全的一项重要任务,在南方稻区推行"籼改粳",是增加全国粳稻种植面积和总产量的有效途径。对南方地区粳稻生产情况、粳稻育种和栽培技术、发展粳稻的制约因素等进行了综合分析,提出了南方稻区发展粳稻的基本思路。

The production of japonica rice plays a key role on food security in China. It is an efficient approach of improving japonica rice grain yield and enlarging planting area in China through implementing ＂indica rice to japonica rice＂ engineering in southern China. In this article, the production, breeding, cultivation technology and the main restraining factors in japonica rice development in southern China were analyzed, and the basic thought for further devel- opment of japonica rice in southern China was proposed.
