MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES OF YAK GRAZING IN SUNAN COUNTY

近年来牦牛资源的开发和利用引起各方的注意,肃南牦牛作为珍贵的牦牛地方类群,也越来越受到当地政府和畜牧部门的重视。分析肃南牦牛的放牧管理现状,有效解决肃南牦牛冬春乏弱死亡,减轻天然草原放牧压力,缓解草畜矛盾,不断提升生态、生产水平,就必须加大饲草料供给、建立草地放牧兼补饲制度和合理利用天然草地,用科学的饲牧管理方式保护牧区生态,发展牧区经济,实现牧区草地资源的可持续利用。

The development and utilization of yak resource has been paid attention by the social parts at present. Sunan Yak, as the important native animal breed, has been focused by the local government and animal hus- bandry bureaus.The paper reports the grazing management status of Sunan Yak and provide the suggestions that the improvement of forage supplement, establishment of grazing combing supplementary feeding as well as sus- tainable utilization of grassland are the key measures for solving the problems in term of yak death in winter and spring, reducing the grazing pressure on rangeland as well as mitigating the conflict between livestock and grass.
