Presentification of the Not-Now and Retrospective Narration in Modernist Fiction

现代主义小说的回顾叙述与它在现实主义小说中的表现相比,在表征方式上有明显的不同。本文从这种不同入手,聚焦英国现代主义小说的回顾叙述,结合小说文本细读,尝试把它与胡塞尔的"曾在的当下化"的论述关联起来,从现象学的角度对此叙述风格的发生和特点进行透视。本文认为,现代主义小说的回述承载了胡塞尔关于再回忆、特别是曾在的当下化的表述逻辑,对此的关注有助于更好地把握现代主义小说回述模式的转变。

Retrospective narration in modernist fiction differs drastically from what it is in classical realism.This thesis relates the changes in retrospective narration to Edmund Husserl’s phenomenology of internal time-consciousness,particularly,his conceptions of'recollection'and'presentification of the notnow',and traces the correspondence between them.It proposes that an awareness of symbiotic relationship of Husserl’s turn to internal time consciousness to modernist fiction sheds light on the narrative features of the latter.
