北宋"奸相"章惇与苏轼的友谊,存在许多野史逸闻。章惇、苏轼二人都才学过人、性好戏谑,他们早年仕宦同游,有归老山水之约,因为政见不同,在党争中分属对立阵营,在元祐期间渐行渐远,以致互相攻击,最终泯灭恩怨。史书一边倒谴责章惇,大多数笔记小说回护苏轼,传播了不少曲解章、苏友谊的说法,与章、苏二人履历、书信不符,不可不为之一辩。
