Perspective of Cognitive Bias behind the Decisions in Foreign Dignitary Protection

在外宾警卫工作中,一些警卫人员淡化了警卫工作的政治属性,忽视了警卫工作的本质,时常以安全问题为借口限制警卫对象活动,在处理问题时态度强硬,致使警卫工作在低层次上运行。之所以出现这些问题,主要是由于警卫人员政治觉悟不强、认知水平不高、思维能力不强以及态度不端正等方面原因所致。因此,警卫部队要加强政治教育,强化知识学习与思维训练,完善相应管理机制,加强实践锻炼,全面提高警卫人员的认知能力。

When protecting foreign dignitaries, some officers play down the significance of political attribute, neglec- ting the essence of the VIP protection, so that they often restrict the activities of VIPs by using security as an excuse, and deal with problems of security with tough attitude, leading to unsatisfying performance. These problems are mainly caused by their poor political consciousness, lack of knowledge, poor thinking ability and incorrect attitude. In order to solve these problems, the VIP protection force must strengthen political education, knowledge learning and thinking ability training, perfect management mechanism correspondingly, and strengthen practical training so as to improve the cognitive ability of VIP protection officers.
