中国特色的社会主义建设基本内容之一为确立社会主义核心价值观,而以爱国、敬业、诚信为主要内容的根本道德准则是公民基本道德规范的核心要求,是社会主义核心价值观从公民个人层面提出的价值追求,体现了社会主义价值诉求和公民基本道德行为的本质属性。毛泽东在领导中国人民进行社会主义革命、建设和改革的伟大实践中,始终注重从理论层面对社会主义核心价值观进行积极建构,初步形成爱国、敬业、诚信为主要内容的社会主义核心道德准则和价值标准,为今日构建成熟完善中国特色社会主义核心价值观提供了理论基础、智力支持和精神支撑。

One of the basic contents of the construction of Socialism with Chinese characteristics is to establish the socialist core values. And patriotism, dedication, integrity as the main contents of the fundamental moral standards is the basic moral norms of citizens, which is the requirement of socialist core value to individual citizen. It embodies the es- sential attributes of the socialist value appeal and the basic moral behavior of citizens. Mao Zedong led the Chinese people to carry out the great practice of socialist revolution, construction and reform and always paid attention to the building of theoretical level of the socialist core values, which formed the main socialist core moral principles and val- ues with patriotism, dedication, and integrity. It provides a theoretical basis, intellectual support and spiritual support for the construction of mature and perfect core values of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
