This paper summarizes the main types and chemical composition and mineral composition of red mud, the form and quantity of red mud yard, and occupation of land in Shandong Province. Mainly introduces the research progress and present situation of comprehensive utilization of red mud in Shandong Province, puts forward some effective ways to develop and utilize red mud in the future.
