党争夹缝中士人的命运浮沉——以蔡肇为例

Ups and Downs in Fate of Scholar-bureaucrats Caught in Factional Political Struggles——Taking Cai Zhao as an Example

蔡肇就其家世渊源和个人经历来说,与王安石及其新党人物有着极为密切的关系;但在元祐时期,他又与苏轼及其门生有着相当频繁的交往。在以人划线的北宋神宗、哲宗、徽宗三朝政治中,"学术反覆"的标签成了笼罩在蔡肇头上挥之不去的阴影。正常的人际交往在党争裹挟下左右了夹缝中士人的命运。如何摆正政治与学术、人际交往与政治立场的关系,对今天的知识分子无疑具有启示和警示作用。

As far as family ground and personal experiences are concerned, Cai Zhao is closely related to Wang Anshi and his new party members. Nevertheless, in the Yuanyou period, Cai Zhao also keeps frequent contact with Su Shi and his disciples. In politics of the Northern Song three dynasties of Shenzong, Zhezong and Huizong in which an official is judged by his attitude towards a certain person, ＂academic repetitiousness＂ becomes a lingering label attached to Cai Zhao. Normal interpersonal inter-actions influenced by factional political struggles determine fates of scholar-bureaucrats caught in di-lemmas. How to balance the relationship between politics and academics, interpersonal interaction and political stance plays an enlightening and warning role for the intellectuals today.
