Fujian Shipping School has a close relationship with Jiangsu University of Science and Tech-nology. Shipbuilding Department of Fujian Shipping School is one of the sources of Shanghai Ship-building Industry School （the predecessor of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology）. The evo-lution from Fujian Shipping School to Jiangsu University of Science and Technology includes not only deviation of shipbuilding related majors and its relationship of teachers and students, but also the her-itage and development of shipping culture in contemporary education.
