Clinical significance of gingival biotype and its relationships with the surrounding tissues

在影响口腔治疗的各因素中,牙龈生物型已受到人们的广泛关注,尤其在牙周手术、根向复位瓣术、正畸、修复以及种植等手术中。不同牙龈生物型对炎症反应、手术、修复治疗以及与周围组织的关系均存在差异,本文就牙龈生物型的定义、分型、临床意义及其与周围组织的关系做一综述。

Among the factors that may impede, success in dental treatments, gingival biotype is a major concern, partic- ularly affecting the outcomes of periodontal therapy, root coverage procedures, and implant placement. Different tissue bio-types respond differently to inflammation and to surgical and restorative treatment. Different gingival biotypes have distinct relations with the surrounding tissues. This paper reviews the definition, classification, clinical significance, the relation-ships between gingival biotypes and its surrounding tissues.
