In terms of perceptions of collections, most museums make the same mistake that no suspicions are given to objects handed down by predecessors while no recognitions are given to the newly arrived objects. They refuse to do textual research even for the apparent counterfeited objects. It is recorded in many historical materials that while leaving the Forbidden City at the end of the Qing Dynasty,Puyi, the last emperor, took large numbers of cultural relics with him and that many eunuchs embezzled the genuine antiques and substituted the counterfeits for them, which accounts for the appearance of the antique circle near Glass Street in Beijing. As a result, countless genuine antiques are lost in the folk whereas the substituted counterfeits remained in the palace and an inventory of them was later made for inheritance. The takeover personnel also took it for granted that whatever remained and inherited inside the palace was genuine. Thus,it illustrates an indisputable fact that there are counterfeits in museums while there are genuine ones in the folk.
