On the Evolution and Prospects of Global Partnershipfor Effective Development Co-operation(GPEDC) Agenda

"全球有效发展合作伙伴"议程的出现是21世纪以来多中心全球化格局在国际发展合作领域中的一个缩影。针对国际发展格局发生的种种变化,我们应坚持在依循中国经验和原则的前提下,以发展中国家的诉求为基础,积极参与个中发展议程以回应传统西方主导的发展援助与治理体系,力求通过中国在国际社会中日益增长的影响力重新型塑国际发展治理体系,从而占据中国在国际发展领域应有的位置和地位。

The emerging Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation( GPEDC) is regarded as an epitome of a polycentric structure within the arena of international development cooperation since the 21 st century.This paper aims to systematically summarize the historical process of GPEDC agenda,analyze its potential challenges and prospects as well. In addition,this paper will propose some corresponding recommendations to deal with the changing international development structure properly. In response to the various changes to the international development structure,we should actively participate in some certain agendas in the context of our development experiences and related principles to dialogue with the so-called orthodox development assistance and governance system dominated by the west. Moreover,we have been pursuing to reshape the existing development assistance and governance system by increasing China's influences in the international society gradually,in order to hold a proper position and status in the field of international development accordingly.
