《1956—1967哲学社会科学规划纲要》是新中国成立后的第一个哲学社会科学发展规划,规定了包括图书馆学在内的15个学科应研究的主要问题及需完成的重要著作,第一次将图书馆学纳入到国家科学发展规划日程。该规划纲要中规定的有关图书馆学的相关内容,鼓舞了广大图书馆学人,彰显了图书馆学的学科地位,推动了图书馆学著作、教材的出版,为图书馆学的学科发展指明了方向,对建国初期图书馆学的恢复和发展起到了积极作用,在我国图书馆学史上具有重要地位和影响。

As the first planning after the founding of the People’s Republic of China,1956-1967 Planning Outline oi Philosophy and Social Science set out the important works and problems for 15 disciplines including library science,and incorporated library science into national science and technology development program schedule for the first time. Related contents to library science in this planning inspired the masses of library scholars,revealed the subject status,promoted the publication of monographs and textbooks,pointed out the direction for the development of the subject. It promoted the development of library science in the early years of the People’s Republic of China,and had important influence in the history of library science in China. 19 refs.
