高铁的发展，从根本上改变了上海与周边地区以及全国各大城市之间的交通，大大缩短了城市之间的时空距离，给人们带来了实实在在的好处。但是，除了沪宁城际高铁列车以外，目前上海的高铁列车大部分都集中在上海虹桥站到发，上海站和上海南站基本上被排除在全国高速铁路网之外。
