Investigation into and Analysis of Students' Utilization of Library Resources in University of Science and Engineering

对理工科院校图书馆资源利用状况调查分析发现,学历不同的理工科学生由于学习目的和任务不同,他们到图书馆的频次也不同,他们在借书的目的、种类、数量及途径等方面有所差异。纸质文献资源和电子文献资源都受本科生亲睐,但研究生更喜欢电子文献资源。高学历者对图书馆电子资源了解及使用熟练程度优于低学历者。尚有部分学生在利用图书馆信息资源时会遇到各种困难。因此,加大对学生图书馆资源利用的培训和指导确有必要。

Through investigation into students＇ utilization of library resources in university of science and engineering, it is found that students of different academic degrees come to the li- brary with different frequency due to their own learning aims and tasks. Although both paper resources and electronic resources are popular among the students, postgraduates prefer to have electronic resources. Students of high academic degree know more about the library re- sources and have higher proficiency in use of those resources than the students of low academ- ic degree do. Therefore, it is necessary to train and guide the university students to use the li- brary resources.
