The article elaborated the concept and social status of the rural houses with limited property right, and deeply analyzed the problems existing in the study of the rural houses with limited property right in the process of urbanization. It discussed the positive role of the rural houses with limited property right in the process of urbani- zation, and analysis of the possibility of legalization of the rural houses with limited property right, which combined with China~ actual situation proposed the policy suggestions.
