摘要
斜端面光纤的一端为平端面,另一端为斜端面,光从平端面输入,若斜端面的倾斜角度大于某一数值,光线将不再从斜端面出射,而是会经斜端面反射后从光纤表面出射,但此时的出射光斑严重变形,为此提出了在光纤斜端面部分套上一个空心玻璃管的结构。用Light Tools的光线追迹功能进行仿真分析,仿真结果表明,当斜端面的倾斜角度在48°~54°的范围内时,光纤的传输效率均能超过75%,并且具有较为理想的出射光斑分布。最后,研制出了倾斜角为45°和53°的斜端面光纤,并分别在裸斜端面光纤和带有空心玻璃管的斜端面光纤下对传输效率和出射光斑分布进行了实验验证。
Fiber with tilted end includes a flat end and a tilted end. When the light enters the fiber from the flat end, light will not output from the tilted end if the tilt angle is greater than a certain value, but the light will output from fi- ber surface after reflecting at the tilted end. However, emitted facula will be seriously distorted in this way, so the con- figuration of adding a hollow glass tube in the part of the tilted end is proposed. Simulation and analysis were carried out by using ray tracing of LightTools. The simulation results show that the transmission efficiency of this fiber can ex- ceed 75% and emitted facula distribution is ideal when the tilt angles are from 48° to 54°. Finally,the fibers with the tilt angles of 45 ° and 53° are manufactured, and the transmission efficiency and emitted facula distribution under the configurations of fiber with tilted end and the one with a hollow glass tube are verified through the experiments, respec- tively.
