晚清外语翻译人才的培养对当下外语翻译教学的启示

摘要 晚清外语翻译人才培养具有办学定位明确、课程设置合理、教学内容实用、注重能力培养、外语与专业结合、重视汉语基础等特点,其成功的人才培养模式,对当下外语翻译人才的教学有重要的借鉴意义。即重新定位人才培养目标,以社会需要为标尺,加强实用性翻译人才的培养;改革课程设计,注意教学内容的实用性和教材编写的系统性、逻辑性;加强复合型翻译人才的培养;加强翻译师资队伍建设,重视汉语基础教学。 In the late Qing Dynasty, a large number of prominent foreign -language translators are produced by training schools run by the government and their successful practices are worth learning from because the teaching has a distinct characteristics: a clear aim to cultivate skillful and capable talents who have a good command of foreign languages as well as their mother language, reasonable curricula, practical teaching contents that combine foreign language with the professional knowledge and due attention paid to their basic Chinese language foundation. This cultivation mode has an important instruction for the current foreign - language translating teacifng : we should reform the existing teaching system : re - position our talent - training objectives to meet social needs for the talents; emphasize practical talents; upgrade curricula, focusing on the systematic and logic teaching contents and materials ; strengthen the cultivation of disciplinalT talents ; improve professional teachers and pay attention to their development, and attach great importance to Chinese teaching.
