On Relationship of Ecological Environment,Public Health and Economic Growth

本文运用中国2006-2015年省级面板数据,从生态环境的外部性考察生态环境与经济增长的关系。实证结果表明:生态环境对公共健康的影响显著,环境污染明显促进死亡率的提升;生态环境对经济增长的直接效应并不明显,但是生态环境与健康水平的交互项对经济增长有着显著效应。生态环境的日益破坏,环境污染严重,人类应当选择与自然和谐共处的发展方式,既满足人类的发展需求,也使生态环境得到有效保护。

Using provincial panel data from 2006 to 2015, this paper examines the relationship between ecological environment and economic growth from the externalities of the ecological environment. The study shows that the ecological environment has a significant impact on the public health while environmental pollution greatly contributes to higher mortality rate; ecological environment has no direct noticeable impact on economic growth, hut the interaction Lerm between the ecological environment and public health level has a significant effect on economic growth.
