Study on Qian Xinbo's Reading Notes on Duan Yucai's Annotations to Shuowen Jiezi(读说文段注札记)

《钱辛伯读说文段注札记》一文立足保存许书原貌,征引考索,订正《段注》之失,所论颇为精审。钱氏涉及《说文》校勘原则的论述,更能发人深省。由于钱书未存完帙,学者多不曾措意,致其价值淹没不显。

Qian Xinbo 5 s Reading Notes on Duan Yucai1 s Annotations to Shuowen Jiezi （ 读说文段注札记）On theone hand strives to preserve the original flavor of the momumental work of Shuowen Jiezi （说文解字） compiled by Xu Shen, a noted Han Dynasty scholar, and on the other hand seeks to rectify Duan Yucai5 s faulty annotations. Qian Xinboy s laboration on the principles of annotation and collation regarding Shuowen Jiezi （说文解字 ） also provides room for scholarly thought. Due to the fact that Qian 5 s work has not been preserved intact as of today, many scholars have failed to pay due attention to it , not to mention recognizing its academic significance.
