The paper takes news and advertising major in Putian University for example. It discusses that applied technology type personnel-building of news and advertising major are in trouble in transition period.The construction of virtual simulation laboratory can provide support for practical teaching. The paper proposes the construction content and the main functions of the virtual simulation laboratory of news and advertising major. It analyses the case to verify the application effect of the platform, in order to provide ideas for building laboratory that applied technology type personnel-building of news and advertising major need.
