摘要
《明智的孩子》是英国当代女作家安吉拉·卡特最后一部小说,小说仍然延续着卡特一贯的"狂欢化"风格,以第一人称自传体叙述方式,借朵拉的回忆讲述欠思姐妹歌舞女郎的成长史以及整个家族的疯狂历史,整部小说充满"狂欢"化色彩。再者,对于卡特而言,"狂欢化"叙事策略不仅是她小说创作的实践方式,也是她书写女性本真生命状态的实践方式,更是她对两性关系理性思考基础上的一种创作实践。故而在此借助巴赫金的狂欢理论对《明智的孩子》的狂欢化叙事策略进行再解读并探讨其意义。
Angela Carter is an outstanding contemporary British writer, whose last novel is Wise child. The novel features Carter' s carnival style, in which Dora recalls the history of the sisters and the whole family, adopting the autobiographical narrative perspective. Carnival narrative strategy is the way of her novel writing about women' s life based on her reflection on gender relationship. Therefore, with Bakhtin' s carnival theory, this essay tries to reread the carnival narrative strategy of Wise Child and explore its significance.
