Taonong 1 A, developed from the cross of Jin 23A/（644B /Yixiang B） F2 and its successive backcrosses over years, is an indica CMS line in rice. It is characteristic of good agronomic characters, restorability, fine grain quality and high multiplication and hybrid seed yield. In 2012, its F1 hybrid combination Taoyou Xi- angzhan （Taonong 1A/Huanghuazhan） was evaluated as a 2nd class fine quality rice variety in Hunan Province. Both Taonong 1A and Taoyou Xiangzhan were regis- tered for release to commercial production by Hunan Provincial Crop Variety Ap- praisal Committee in 2015.

桃农1A是以编号为644B自选中间材料作母本与宜香B杂交,F_2代选单株与金23A回交测保,经多年多代回交转育而成的水稻籼型三系不育系。该不育系具有农艺性状优良、可恢复性好、繁殖制种产量高、米质优等特点,所配杂交晚稻组合桃优香占2012年被评为湖南省2等优质米品种。桃农1A及其组合桃优香占均于2015年通过湖南省品种审定。
