我国图书馆藏书索引编制之现状与对策——以广东省立中山图书馆藏书为例

The Status Quo of the Official Budgeted Posts of Library Index Clerks in China and the Corresponding Propositions——A Case Study of the Book Collection in Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province

广东省立中山图书馆藏书调查情况显示,有书后内容索引的仅占3.5%,说明我国的图书内容索引工作虽然有所进步,但与国际相比还有很大差距。我国社会上没有职业索引员,出版社也没有专职索引员,更没有索引员认证制度。因此探索一条适合我国特点的图书内容索引制度和机制显得十分必要。为图书内容索引的推广创造条件、加强有关内容索引编制工作,助推我国图书出版业在这一领域取得新进步。

A survey on the book collection in Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province shows that only 3.5% the books in the library are attached with content index, indicating that although some advances has been achieved recently, an enormous gap still remains in this area between china and some foreign countries. Currently, there is no indexer profession in China, no full-time indexing staff in publishing companies or any official indexer certification policy. Therefore, it is important to set up a library index system which is suitable for the characteristics of our country. To this end, this paper puts forward some suggestions for the promotion of book content indexing, aiming at promoting the book publishing industry in this field.
