The polar regions are the new territory having a great impact on the sustainable development and survival of mankind, and are also of strategic importance for the competition between the great powers over interests and influence. As an important component for building a powerful nation, China＇s national polar cause is conducive to safeguarding the growing national interests and enhancing its influence in the international order. We should make full use of various policies and the existing international mechanisms to protect China＇s environmental interests, economic interests, scientific research interests, security interests and the legitimate rights in the governance of the polar regions. Understanding, utilizing and protecting the polar region are the main tasks of China＇s polar cause in the future. Using the governance thinking of ＂building a community of shared destiny for mankind＂ to guide the international governance in the polar regions is the new contribution of the Chinese wisdom to the peaceful utilization of the polar regions by mankind.
