摘要
翻译适应选择论的翻译方法可概括为"三维"转换,这是译评的重要参考标准之一。文章以"三维"转换原则对典籍《菜根谭》的两个英译本进行对比分析,认为译者所选取的翻译策略都是其在特定的翻译生态环境中所做出的一种有意识的选择性适应与适应性选择;高质量译文产生的基础是译者在语言、文化、交际三个维度上都能做出合理的适应与选择。
The principle of ＂three dimensions＂ coming from the theory of translation adaptation and se- lection is one of the important reference standards of translation＇s evaluation. This paper compares and analyses the two English versions of Cai Gen Tan based on the principle of ＂three dimensions＂. The paper indicates that the choice of translation strategies is a conscious selective adaptation and adaptive selection made by translators while facing a certain translational eco-environment. The basis of produ- cing a high-quality English version is an appropriate adaptation and selection on the three dimensions of language, culture, and communication.
