Showing Nabuqi's sculpture on a two-dimensional format presents a paradox. Pictured within a frame, the sculpture loses its original size and scale; our bodily rela- tion to the sculptural object--an essence of the sculptor's work--is thus suspended. However, the frozen image of the sculpture highlights another dimension of the sculp- tor's creation--a view of an abstract landscape that is only accessible through visual signifiers and imagination.
