Issues Concerning the Further Intensification of the Theoretical Construction of Marxism

马克思主义理论学科设立12年来,无论是在研究队伍、研究成果还是研究论题、研究方法等方面都取得了突破性进展,但从本学科服务党治国理政和经济社会发展,特别是从建构和完善马克思主义理论研究的学科体系、学术体系和话语体系的角度看,还与党和国家加快构建中国特色哲学社会科学的总体要求有较大距离,需要我们在学科和学术规范意识、学科方向的调整、学科基本概念和范畴的凝练等方面共同努力。

It has been twelve years since the establishment of the theoretical subject of Marxism while we achieved marked breakthroughs in research staff, achievement, issues or methodology. However, if assessed from the perspective of serving Party’s state governance and social economic development, especially in terms of constructing and improving the disciplinary, academic and discourse system of Marxist theoretical studies, we are far away from the nation’s and Party’s general requests for accelerating the construction of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics. We should make our joint efforts for academic standardization, discipline adjustment, and the refinement of rudimentary concepts and scopes.
