The average hospitalization days can reflect the hospital daily work efficiency, management level and quality of work, the average hospitalization days were shorter, to reduce the hospitalization expenses of patients with single, but also to the bed turnover rate to further improve, conducive to health resource utilization rate, can make the hospital economic benefit effectively. In recent years, our hospital focuses on shortening the average hospitalization days, improve the operational efficiency of hospital etc. This paper mainly analyzes the concept of average day of hospitalization, the importance of average length of stay, the complexity and corresponding measures, in order to strengthen the operation efficiency of hospitals and promote the sustainable development of hospitals.
